The former Metropolitan Police Department officer whose underage victim came forward after a chance encounter was convicted by a DC Superior Court jury of abusing a teen girl, federal authorities announced. District resident Lucius Kearney, now 52, was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse of a child following an incident nearly 20 years ago, according to officials. A 22-year-old woman remains at large after assaulting a police officer in Prince William County and running free as she was being arrested, officials say. Alejandra Yvette Garcia, who has no fixed address, is wanted by police following an incident in Woodbridge when she was able to escape custody as officers were trying to apprehend her on Friday night. A man who pulled a gun on a woman and robbed her of her purse in a hotel room racked up additional charges during his arrest when he assaulted a police officer, officials in Prince William County said.
