A Virginia pilot who regularly flew dogs in need to safe homes around the country was killed when his small plane crashed in a remote area of New York. The Greene County incident happened in the Town of Windham at around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. Sheriff’s officials said a single-engine Mooney plane was traveling from Maryland to Albany carrying the pilot and three dogs when it crashed in a remote area. Dead Dogs, 24 Other Pets Found Living In Deplorable Conditions At Loudoun County Home Several dead dogs were found, and two dozen other animals were living in deplorable conditions that threatened their lives at a Middleburg home, according to Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS). An investigation was launched last week when the agency received a complaint about a residence on Sam Fred Road, where Humane Law Enforcement Officers seized 24 cats and dogs who were in danger.
