A chaotic encounter at a Manassas apartment complex ended with a 20-year-old man facing a laundry list of charges after attempting to flee from police twice and assaulting officers. Officers were called to Soldiers Ridge Apartments in the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circle at around 2:40 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9 to investigate reports of a person brandishing a weapon, according to a Prince William County Police Department spokesperson. Wanted Reckless Driver Busted For DUI After Hit-Run Crash In Virginia, Sheriff Says
A hit-and-run driver in Stafford County was already wanted before being busted for DUI on Friday night, officials say. Stafford resident Patrick Ridenour, 35, is facing a host of new charges following a crash at around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 in the 800 block of Garrisonville Road. Members of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office were called to investigate the hit-and-run, and a keen-eyed deputy spotted the suspect vehicle while he was responding to the crash scene. Police have released details and the mugshot of an armed man who was captured on video leading a foot pursuit through Fairfax County. Adalberto Rivas Machado, 19, was found with a handgun in his pant leg after officers chased him down on Saturday, July 13, Fairfax County police said. Fairfax County PD Officers were called to the 8000 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley around 3:45 p.m., where Machado had apparently been threatening community members with a gun, police said. Drunk Driver With 2-Year-Old In Car Pulls Machete On Teen Motorist In PWC, Cops Say
A 43-year-old drunk driver had a toddler in the back seat of his car when he pulled a machete on another driver in what police say was a road rage incident in Woodbridge this week. Douglas Benavides approached the 19-year-old motorist while both vehicles had stopped on Old Delaney Roda just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
