DC Nightclub Manager Once In Pedestrian Safety Campaign In ICU After Hit-Run Crash: Report The manager of a Washington DC nightclub was in the ICU after being struck by a vehicle over the weekend, police and various news reports say. Stephen K. Grasty, 29, was riding a Lime scooter southbound on 14th Street Southwest when he was struck by a Nissan around 4:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, according to NBC Washington and DC Metro police. Washington Monument Vandal In Custody, Cleaning Process Underway: Multiple Reports An Indiana man was arrested for vandalizing  the Washington Monument.In the evening on Sept. 20, Shaun Deaton, 44 dumped red paint on one side of the monument and wrote an obscene message.  Deaton's message at the base of the monument read, "Have you been f----- by this ... Gov says tough s---.", according to NBC News.
