Major Crash Jams Beltway In Fairfax County
A major crash caused delays along the Capital Beltway on Monday morning, Sept. 11.
It happened near mile marker 56 on the northbound side of I-495, at Robinson Terminal.
As of 9:50 a.m., heavy delays were reported, as the north left center lane, center lane, right center lane, right inside center lane, right outside lane, and right shoulder are closed. Traffic backups were approximately two miles.

Severe weather is being tracked toward the region, forecasters are warning.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact neighborhoods in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia beginning on Sunday, Aug. 6 and into Monday, when things are expected to get worse before they get better.
