Driver Charged With DWI After Smashing Through Fence, Into Virginia Home, Police Say
A 57-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated in Loudoun County when he hopped a curb and crashed into a Leesburg home, police say. Erik Henderson is facing charges following the investigation into an overnight crash when his vehicle smashed into the front of a house in the 800 block of Rush Drive NE. Upon arrival at the home, a spokesperson from the Leesburg Police Department said that officers were met by a 2020 Subaru that crashed into the front of the residence, causing structural damage. Sheetz Robber Leads Foot Pursuit Before Arrested In Loudoun County, Police Say
An 18-year-old Leesburg man was arrested for assaulting and robbing an acquaintance at a Sheetz gas station last week, police said. Fidel Ordonez Molina assaulted the victim, took his phone and fled on foot around 5:20 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the Sheetz station on Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg police said. Officers canvassed the area and found Molina in the unit block of Plaza Street NE. Upon seeing the officers, Molina fled but was apprehended after a short foot chase, police said. Police Imposters Steal Cash From Motorist In Loudoun County, Police Say
Leesburg police are on the lookout for a pair of imposters who stole money from a motorist last week. The men were in a newer model grey Toyota Corolla with tinted windows when they pulled up alongside the victim on the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE Friday, April 26 around 4:30 p.m., police said. The vehicle had flashing red and blue lights on its dashboard, so the victim stopped for it. Two males got out the and displayed silver badges. Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Leesburg Crash, Witnesses Sought
Police in Loudoun County are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed a serious pedestrian crash Thanksgiving weekend. A man was struck by a vehicle around 530 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 near the Leesburg Public Safety Center, local police said. The pedestrian was crossing Plaza Street NE in a westbound direction in a marked crosswalk, police said. The driver remained on-scene and is cooperating with police. An undocumented teen is facing charges for destructively firing a gun in a Leesburg parking lot and causing damage last month. Jairo Amaya-Sorto, 18, was arrested this week by members of the Leesburg Police Department in the unit block of Plaza Street NE following a near monthlong investigation into a reported shooting.
