Some residents in the DMV region are breaking their N95 masks out as the air quality throughout the region continues to deteriorate. A "Code Red" alert has been issued in the area as smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to infiltrate the East Coast, causing eye-watering, hazy, and potentially dangerous conditions. Infant Abductor Tried Ramming Mom With Car During Shopping Trip Argument In VA: Police
A 22-year-old man snatched an acquaintance's infant from her while out shopping, then got into a vehicle with the baby and tried running the mother over in northern Virginia, authorities said. Deyvon Marquette Newman was in Gabes on Sudley Road in Manassas around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 30 when the incident occurred, Prince William County police said. Kristina DeGregori, of northern Virginia, died on April 21, 2023. She was 46 years old. Affectionately known as Krisi, she was preceded in death by her fiance, Alejandro Grenado. According to her obituary, Krisi graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 2001, after graduating from Chelsea High School in 1996. Krisi's Facebook page shows she lived in Alexandria. The sudden death of a 32-year-old mom from Northern Virginia has sparked a wave of support for her young son. Jacquelyn LaNiece Ross, of Chantilly, and formerly of the Bronx, NY, died suddenly on Friday, April 7, according to her obituary and a GoFundMe for her 18-month-old son, Noah.
