Dog Euthanized After Being Stabbed By Man In Virginia, Police Say
A dog had to be euthanized in Virginia after being stabbed while being taken for a walk with its owner in Falls Church, police say. Broadlands resident Reyan Hassan Ibrahim, 25, was arrested by members of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Police Department at around 11 a.m. on Monday morning during a traffic stop near Dulles International Airport in connection to the assault of a dog. Popular Police Chief In Virginia Set To Retire After Decades Of Service
A popular police chief in Virginia is set to retire after decades of service. Leesburg Chief of Police Gregory C. Brown will officially retire on Dec. 1 after 26 years of service in the Leesburg and Loudoun community, the department announced on Thursday, Oct. 20. Brown has held the position of chief since Oct. 3, 2016, and has since expanded the department to a staff of 90 sworn officers and 18 civilians.
