Innocent Woman, 37, Killed By Wrong-Way Driver In I-695 Police Pursuit (Update) Police have identified the innocent driver killed by a wrong-way car thief during a police pursuit on I-695 earlier this week. Dimeka Thornton, 37, of Windsor Mill, was operating an Acura TSX when she was struck by a driver in a stolen car in the outer loop, on the ramp to Exit 18 to Liberty Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said in a release. Eugene Douglas died while in the custody of first-responders after suffering an apparent overdose in the 2400 block of Sherwood Avenue around 11:15 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
