A 50-year-old man from Washington DC was arrested for stealing two electric scooters in Arlington, police said. Police were called to the 1700 block of N. Pierce Street around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 on reports of a man, later identified as Ahmad Bilal, breaking into a bike storage room, county police said. There, Bilal stole two electric scooters and chargers and fled the scene, police said. Thirty minutes was all it took to identify a Home Depot shoplifter, police in Stafford County said. The sheriff's office put out an attempt to ID flyer after $4,400 worth of items were stolen from the Worth Avenue Home Depot on Sunday, April 22. In a matter of minutes, citizens identified the suspect as Eliezer Diaz Hernandez, 41, of Alexandria, the sheriff's office said. He was charged with grand larceny and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $10,000 secured bond. A trio of Maryland men accused of stealing $100,000 worth of merchandise across multiple towns were arrested in Virginia. Stafford County Sheriff deputies responding to Target at Stafford Market Place around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, April 18 were met by a group of men hiding skin care items in a large bin, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
