Joshua A Farmer, of Amissville, was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax after rear-ending a Freightliner tractor-trailer that was stopped at a red light in a 2017 Honda Accord, just before 6 p.m. on Route 29 (Lee Highway) on Sunday, May 19, Virginia State Police said. The unidentified man was walking south along Rixeyville Road when he was struck by a 2015 GMC Denali also heading south, near Colvin Road around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, according to state police. Four westbound vehicles were stopped at a light at Lee Highway and Rixeyville Road — at Clevengers Corner — when a fifth vehicles was unable to stop and rear-ended one of the stopped vehicles around 6:10 p.m., Virginia State Police said.
