The fatal collision occurred on Nov. 9 at the intersection of Hunter Mill Road and Lynnhaven Place, where the teen was reportedly speeding in a Toyota Camry when he struck an Acura attempting to turn left into a shopping center. The crash claimed the life of Brenda Cratty, 77, of Vienna, who was a passenger in the Acura. She was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Teen Charged In Herndon Shooting That Hospitalized 16-Year-Old A 17-year-old boy from Alexandria has been arrested for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old in Herndon on Monday night, police said. Herndon Police responded to the 1000 block of Cavalier Drive around 8:33 p.m. on Nov. 25 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire.  Shortly after arriving at the scene, officers learned a juvenile had arrived at a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. DUI Teen Driver Arrested In Fatal Pedestrian Crash, Fairfax County Police Say A DUI teenage driver has been charged in a Fairfax County crash that killed a 35-year-old pedestrian this weekend, authorities said. The 17-year-old driver of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee was heading east on Lorton Road near Timarand Drive in Lortin, when he struck Jamar Caper, 35, of Alexandria, who was trying to cross Lorton Road around 10:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20, county police said. The three-vehicle crash occurred on March 9 on Georgetown Pike.
