Darcy Vasquez, 29, is facing fresh felony charges after being busted for his third DUI in the past 10 years when he was found asleep at the wheel after crashing into a ditch, a spokesperson for the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said on Monday.

Last week, deputies were called to Musselman Road, where there was a report of a truck partially in a ditch with the Stafford resident slumped behind the wheel.

Investigators say that Vasquez went off road, striking a mailbox and power pole before coming to rest about 100 yards away. When Vasquez stirred following the crash he was unable to provide details about the incident and his blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit.

Vasquez was arrested and charged with driving under the influence third offense within 10 years with a BAC above .20. He's being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
