Virginia Substitute Teacher Was Drunk At Work: Police
A 28-year-old substitute teacher from Virginia was arrested on accusations she was drunk at work, authorities announced. Rhiannon Blakeman, of Leesburg, was intoxicated and found in possession of alcoholic beverages by a school resource officer around 1 p.m. in the Tuscarora High School cafeteria Wednesday, May 31. Blakeman has been charged with one count of public intoxication and one count of possessing alcoholic beverages in or on public school grounds. Support is pouring in for a popular member of the Loudoun County Public School system who suffered life-altering injuries in a violent crash last month days before he would have qualified for disability benefits. Jordan Fisher, a Safety and Security Officer and head girl’s varsity field hockey coach at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg spent more than a week in the hospital undergoing extensive treatment after he was struck by a vehicle in Richmond on Saturday, March 11. Leesburg Substitute Teacher Dealt Assault Charges For Throwing Student Out Of Class: Police
A substitute teacher allegedly failed to behave in a Leesburg classroom, police said. On Sept. 16, Hans Mirzaei, a 68-year-old substitute teacher at Tuscarora High School, forcefully kicked a student out of class, according to the Leesburg Police Department. After law enforcement investigated the incident, Mirzaei was charged with one misdemeanor count of assault and battery, authorities reported. He was issued a summons on Oct. 2 and later released, officials said. Police said the victim was not harmed during the incident.

Viral Video Shows Student-On-Student Robbery At Leesburg High School: Police
A new viral video students at a Leesburg high school are sharing reportedly shows one of their fellow classmates being robbed. A student at Tuscarora High School told administrators on Wednesday, May 25, that a classmate attacked them in a bathroom earlier that morning while another one stole their stuff, Leesburg police said.
