A substitute teacher at Dogwood Elementary School in Fairfax County has been arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting a student during school hours, authorities said. Elizabeth Yoshimi Nagagata, 62, a teacher at White Oaks Elementary School in Fairfax County, is facing charges after investigators received a referral in April regarding an educator who was caught assaulting a student at school. Inmate, 53, Found Dead In Cell At Fairfax County Detention Center
A 53-year-old inmate was found dead in her cell at the Fairfax county Adult Detention Center, police said. Latasha Dove was found unresponsive in her single cell at the ADC on Tuesday, Aug. 1, county police said. Deputies immediately began performing life-saving measures before fire and Rescue personnel responded and transported Dove to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
