An early morning crash involving a child walking to school led to a DUI charge for a Spotsylvania woman on Wednesday who was driving recklessly, according to the sheriff's office. Local resident Jane Jenkins was arrested for suspected driving under the influence after the 53-year-old struck a girl who was walking to her bus stop. A Fourth of July shooting is under investigation in Stafford County after a man and several vehicles were struck by gunfire, according to the sheriff's office. Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Stafford crash Thursday, March 14. Michael Pickeral was heading east on Joshua Road when he was struck by a westbound driver that swerved into oncoming traffic just after 5:15 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
