A 15-year-old Woodbridge student has been charged after an Instagram threat against Potomac High School in Dumfries sparked an investigation, authorities said. The threat was first reported anonymously on Dec. 8 through a tip, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Threat At Virginia Middle School 'Not Credible' According To Police
One underage suspect is in custody in Leesburg after making a threat involving Harper Park Middle School. The Leesburg Police Department was advised by the School Resource Officer assigned to the middle school of a threat made by a juvenile student on Tuesday, Jan. 10 involving the building on Potomac Station Drive NE. Heritage High School Threat 'Not Credible', Police Say
A threat made against a school in Loudoun County was found to be not credible, authorities said. The Safe2Talk app alerted Leesburg police to a rumored threat involving Heritage High School on Evergreen Mills Road SE, they said on Tuesday, Nov. 15. "At this time, we do not believe this to be a credible threat," police said in a statement. As the investigation continues, police say there will be extra patrols at the school during school hours this week. The Leesburg Police Department is working with Loudoun County Public Schools on the investigation.
