A grocery store bomb threat, a robbery, and a dramatic chase ended in handcuffs for a man now facing a slew of charges in Prince William County, police say.
At around 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, police say Dwayne Andre Bolden, 35, who has no fixed address, turned a routine grocery store theft into chaos when he threatened to blow up the Food Lion on Richmond Highway after being confronted by an employee.
Bolden fled before officers arrived, according to a Prince William County Police Department spokesperson.

An unlicensed driver wanted in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 20-year-old motorcyclist last week has surrendered, police in Prince William County said.
Michael Eugene Dyer Jr., 34, of Woodbridge, was heading north near Pine Bluff Drive in a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck when he struck Joseph Word on a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400R, who was heading south on Richmond Highway late Wednesday night, April 24, Prince William County police said.

Weekend Warriors: These Drivers Led Police Pursuits Through Stafford Hours Apart, Sheriff Says
Two drivers have been arrested after leading police pursuits through Stafford over the weekend, police said.
The first began around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, and involved a Maryland man named Timothy Clark, 56, was wanted out of Stafford, Prince William, and Fredericksburg, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release.
The incident involving Clark began when Deputy E.T. Osborn responded to Wawa, located at 9 South Gateway Drive, for a larceny. Staff said a man, later identified as Clark, stole a crate of Marlboro cigarettes.

An intoxicated 28-year-old Stafford woman called police on herself to say she struck her romantic partner and, when police arrived, said she wanted to go to jail, authorities said.
Catherine Williams called 9-1-1 around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, saying she'd hit her romantic partner a number of times while at the Spring Lake Motel on Richmond Highway, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

Virginia Murder Suspect, 21, Charged In 2023 Double Shopping Center Shooting: Police
Police in Prince William County have captured a 21-year-old murder suspect in connection with a double shooting earlier this month at a Richmond Highway shopping center last year, they said.
Zaire Lee Davis, of no fixed address, is believed to have been arguing with 27-year-old Akeem Rashaud Williams and another man on the 13900 block of Richmond Highway on Jan. 16, 2023, when gunfire rang out, county police said.
Williams, another man, and an occupied vehicle were struck by gunfire. Williams died at the hospital while another individual was hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.

Wrong-Way Drunken Driver From NY Nearly Hit Stafford Sheriff's Deputy Before Chase: Authorities
A 24-year-old drunken driver nearly hit a sheriff's deputy as he drove the wrong way on a Stafford County roadway then initiating a pursuit, authorities said.
Bryan Galdames Cruz, of Brooklyn, NY, was heading north in the southbound lanes of Richmond Highway when Deputy S.C. Martin, on his motorcycle, noticed the vehicle headed directly at him around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said.
Cruz was traveling on the wrong side of the road in order to pass vehicles, Decatur said.
