Popular Police Chief In Virginia Set To Retire After Decades Of Service A popular police chief in Virginia is set to retire after decades of service. Leesburg Chief of Police Gregory C. Brown will officially retire on Dec. 1 after 26 years of service in the Leesburg and Loudoun community, the department announced on Thursday, Oct. 20. Public Library announced his resignation after a fatal shooting at the Anacostia branch, according to FOX5DC.
