Shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, police say that a person poured a substance on his victim at the intersection of North Capitol Street and P Street NW, then ignited that liquid before running off. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of undisclosed "serious" injuries. Shortly before 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, officers responded to a reported crash on the parkway near P Street NW when a Honda sedan crashed head-on into a Lexus SUV in a violent crash.
