Some top lawmakers in Baltimore are speaking out after a teen offender who has run afoul of the law repeatedly was released and reoffended — again.
On Tuesday, March 31, officers arrested a 14-year-old on an open warrant while he was in the 2200 block of Kirk Avenue.
His offense this time? Failure to appear in reference to a previous crime.

Dion Thompson has been arrested for his alleged role in the murder of MPD Sgt. Tony Mason, Jr., on Nov. 4, 2017 in the 2800 block of Elgin Avenue, Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates announced on Wednesday, April 17.
