An ex-con from Washington DC has been convicted of shooting a transgender victim following a sexual act, federal authorities announced. Jerry Tyree, who has previous weapon and drug convictions in Maryland and the District, was found guilty by a Superior Court jury of aggravated assault while armed for shooting his victim in November last year in Northeast DC.
