Microsoft Outage Affects Users Globally, Restoration Time Unclear
An outage is affecting Microsoft users around the world. Programs that have been reported down include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams, according to the website Downdetector. Microsoft said in an announcement at around midday on Monday, Nov. 25 that "Our targeted restarts are progressing slower than anticipated for the majority of affected users. Facebook, Instagram Issues Resolved After Widespread Outage: Meta
Facebook and Instagram users were locked out of their accounts Tuesday morning, March 5 in what appeared to have been a widespread outage. Hundreds and thousands of both Facebook and Instagram users had reported problems on DownDetector as of 11 a.m. The issue was resolved at approximately 11:45 a.m. Meta spokesman Andy Stone addressed the outage on Twitter: Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. Twitter Back Up And Running After Major Outage
UPDATE: Twitter was back up and running as of 9:15 a.m. Twitter experienced the outage Thursday, July 14. While Twitter's status page said "all systems operational," tweets were not loading on the main domain and thousands of users reported issues on Downdetector. Downdetector users joked that if Twitter were working, Twitter would be "trending hard on Twitter right now."
