A 52-year-old man who was shot and killed by police while running toward the Potomac Mills shopping complex with a crossbow has been identified, authorities said. Harrison Charles Deppe, of Woodbridge, was killed during an officer-involved shooting on Thursday afternoon, July 17, in the area of Garza Way and Potomac Mills Circle, the Prince William County Police Department confirmed on Friday, July 18. Crossbow Arrow Skewers Pedestrian's Back In Fairfax County
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a crossbow arrow in Fairfax County over the weekend, police said. The man was on the sidewalk on the 3400 block of Carlin Springs Road in Bailey’s Crossroads around 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, county police said. The arrow went through the man's backpack and into his back. He was taken to the hospital due to injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening, and after receiving treatment, he was released.
