Forecasters are cautioning that some wild weather may be moving through the DMV region through the weekend as the area braces for possible snow storms in parts of the area. A "Special Weather Statement" was issued by the National Weather Service advising that wind gusts possibly approaching 50 mph may be on the way on Wednesday night, bringing with it a strong cold front and possibly a taste of winter weather in the mountains. Forecasters are cautioning that oppressive heat may be headed to the DMV region with temperatures possibly approaching 100 degrees in the area. Severe weather could be heading toward the DMV region on Wednesday, according to forecasters.
