Evidence brought forth during last week's trial — taking place in Fairfax County, VA — by Heard’s legal team was debunked on the video-sharing app.
Users were among the first to point out that a Milani Cosmetics makeup pallet used as evidence by Heard's legal team was not released until after the alleged abuse against her occurred. Milani later released a statement confirming that.
One video shining light on "Heard's lie" by Ethan Trace had more than 16 million views as of Tuesday, April 26.
Trouble for Depp started back in 2016, when Heard filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order against Depp claiming he abused her. Depp has denied the allegations, and many friends and colleagues have come forward in support of him.
In 2018, Heard published an op-ed in The Washington Post, “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change." Depp and his legal team argue that the article caused him to lose “nothing less than everything."
Opening statements for the trial began on April 12 at the Fairfax County Circuit Court before a seven-person jury. The trial is expected to last six weeks. Depp closed out his testimony on Monday, April 26.
Heard's defense team has come under public scrutiny as they seem to stumble through presenting their evidence, including objecting to their own questions.
Some of the accusations have included Heard leaving human feces in a bed in Johnny Depp's apartment, Heard causing an altercation that resulted in Depp losing the tip of his finger, and physical violence from both parties.
Heard’s legal team argued that she carried a color-correcting compact to cover bruises Depp gave her. Milani released a TikTok video announcing that the compact that Heard claims to have carried throughout the course of her relationship with Depp was not released until 2017. The video has amassed over 4.6 million views.
Other notable witnesses are expected to testify, including Elon Musk and James Franco.
TikTok users were also imperative to shedding light on the Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie case.
Miranda Baker claims she picked up 22-year-old Landrie while he was hitchhiking alone in Wyoming, but only recognized him when the story broke on Sunday, Aug. 29.
Amid the viral nationwide search for Petito, law enforcement agencies across the country were able to find at least six additional bodies, Fox 13 reported.
