Law enforcement's investigations revealed that Matthew Stitt-Johnson, 31, sexually abused three children, an 8-year-old, a 5-year-old, and an 8-month-old, between 2015 and 2020, according to the US Attorney's Office.
Though the five-year-old and her sister reported the abuse to their mother, nothing was reported to the police at that time, authorities said.
In 2021, after police received a tip about the suspect, they found videos depicting the sexual abuse of the five-year-old victim and eight-month-old on his two cell phones, along with 13,000 images of child pornography, officials reported.
Stitt-Johnson would distribute the child pornography on Internet forums that were allegedly dedicated to trading images of the rape and torture of infants and toddlers, authorities said.
On Dec. 17, 2021, Stitt-Johnson was arrested, the Attorney's Office said.
He recently pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of second-degree child sexual abuse with aggravating circumstances for abusing three minor children, officials said.
His scheduling is sentenced for Jan. 25, 2023, where he will face a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 68 ½ years, authorities said.
