Law enforcement officials in the region are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to identify and locate a person wanted for an alleged assault that is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

The FBI's Washington Field Office issued an alert on Friday, Sept. 23, and provided photos of a suspect involved in an alleged assault on a Blue Line Metro train in the area of the Benning Road Metro station in Washington, DC in October 2021.

It is alleged that the person pictured above struck her victim in the head multiple times while aboard the train in what was possibly a hate crime, according to investigators.

Anyone with information regarding the woman or incident has been asked to contact the FBI’s Washington Field Office by calling (202) 278-2000 or by submitting an anonymous tip online.
