The crash happened at North Kings Highway and Huntington Park Drive in Huntington, county police said just before 1:45 a.m. Friday, May 24.
The pedestrian, an adult male, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and was later taken into custody, authorities said.
