Man Offered Woman A Ride, Tried To Sexually Assault Her In Virginia, Police Say
A Virginia man is behind bars after allegedly abducting a woman and attempting to sexually assault her when she got into his vehicle, police said.
Jose Mauricio Sosas Ramos, 58, of Alexandria, was arrested following the attack, which happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, in the 7700 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, according to Fairfax County police.
Investigators say a woman was walking in the area when Sosas Ramos pulled up and offered her a ride. Once she was inside the vehicle, he allegedly refused to let her leave and tried to sexually assault her.

Man Stabs Stranger Inside Virginia Business Unprovoked, Police Say
A 27-year-old Alexandria man is in custody after allegedly stabbing a stranger in an unprovoked attack inside a Bailey’s Crossroads business, Fairfax County Police said.
The incident happened at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in the 5600 block of Leesburg Pike, where responding officers found the victim, an adult, suffering from stab wounds to his upper body.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
