Several lanes were closed on I-495 on Tuesday afternoon in Fairfax County when a multi-vehicle crash was reported, backing up traffic for miles. Motorists in the northbound lanes of the interstate were slowed by a crash initially reported at around 1:15 p.m. which led to an hourlong delay in the area of VA-267W and exit 46.
