Virginia Woman Killed After Running Red Light: State Police
A Virginia woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Rockingham County that occurred when she allegedly ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck, authorities said. Brandi R. Morris, 47, of Elkton, heading east in a 2006 Honda Civic eastbound on Route 33 when she failed to stop at a red light at Rockingham Pike and collided with a 2011 Ford F-150 on Thursday, Jan 23, around 8:20 p.m., Virginia State Police said. A 34-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Monday morning after losing control and violently crashing in Virginia, state police say. Harrisonburg resident Jacobo E. Wilson, has been identified by investigators as the rider killed after striking a utility pole on the opposite side of the road in Rockingham County. 27-Year-Old Man Killed In Alcohol-Fueled Rockingham County Crash: State Police
A 27-year-old man died in a Rockingham County crash that police say may have involved alcohol. Justin L. McGuire, of New Market, was heading north on Route 11/North Valley Pike when he crossed the centerline in a Toyota Tacoma, ran off the roadway and struck a tree around 2:10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, Virginia State Police said. McGuire, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
