Toddler's Death In DC Ruled Homicide By Blunt Force Injuries, Police Say The death of a 1-year-old boy who was killed during an incident last week in Southeast DC has been ruled a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner. Members of the Metropolitan Police Department were called shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 to a home in the 1800 block of 18th Street SE, where they found Jordan Ballard unresponsive. The child was rushed by DC Fire and EMS personnel to an area hospital, where, despite lifesaving measures, he died. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in DC, which determined the child suffered multiple blunt force injuries…

Decomposing Body Found In Virginia Vehicle: Prince William County Police A death investigation has been launched in Prince William County after a body was found inside a parked vehicle in Dumfries over the weekend.  Officers were called shortly before 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, to the 17100 block of Wayside Drive, where a Good Samaritan located the dead body in the area. Man Swimming With Family In Lake Manassas Drowns, Police Say (Developing) A 45-year-old man died on Sunday afternoon after drowning in Lake Manassas, police say. Shortly after 4:45 p.m. on June 23, officers from the Prince William County Police Department were called to Burwell Road in Nokesville, where there was a person swimming with a family member in the lake when he appeared to struggle before becoming submerged in the water. According to investigators, fire and rescue personnel were able to locate and remove the man from the water, where he was pronounced dead by first responders.
