A Mack-truck driver has been charged for failing to maintain his lane leading up to the crash that killed a speeding 23-year-old motorcyclist in Prince William County, police say. Triangle resident Kojo Essandoh, 56, was issued a court summons citing him for his role in the crash that claimed the life of Woodbridge resident Melanie Ruby Morales last month. Speed is believed to be a factor in a crash involving a motorcyclist who lost control and was struck by a Mack truck in Prince William County on Thursday afternoon, police say. Driver Placed Gas Can In Vehicle Before Fiery, Deadly Crash In Virginia: Police
Police in Prince William County have launched a death investigation into a fiery crash Friday, Aug. 23, they said. The sole occupants of the vehicle that had crashed and went up in flames at Old Bridge and Occoquan Roads around 6:50 p.m. is believed to have placed gasoline in the passenger compartment of their vehicle just before that crash, police said. The gas caused the fire inside of the vehicle, authorities said. The fire, as well as the cause and manner of death, is still under investigation.
