Pedestrian Killed By Freightliner While Standing By Disabled Vehicle In Chantilly: Police
A 33-year-old Centreville man was struck and killed Monday morning in Chantilly while standing outside of his disabled vehicle, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Amin Emad-Eldin Hammoud has been identified by investigators as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by the driver a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 125, who suffered minor injuries. The incident was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the area of Sully Road and Poplar Tree Road.
