A Maryland traffic stop on I-70 spiraled into a major bust when deputies uncovered suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and a stolen handgun inside a vehicle driven by a Baltimore man, authorities say.
John Tyrell Gross Jr., 35, is facing a host of charges following an ill-fated traffic stop on the interstate that led to a massive seizure, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
At around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, a deputy stopped Gross' Acura MDX in the westbound lanes near New Market for an equipment violation and failure to stay in the lane.

Rion J. Ward, 47, and Zakiyya D. Ward, 42, both of Orange, were arrested Friday, Feb. 21, after the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force wrapped up a month-long investigation by executing a search warrant on the 13000 block of Kendall Road in Orange County, according to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office.

DUI Teen Driver Arrested In Fatal Pedestrian Crash, Fairfax County Police Say
A DUI teenage driver has been charged in a Fairfax County crash that killed a 35-year-old pedestrian this weekend, authorities said.
The 17-year-old driver of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee was heading east on Lorton Road near Timarand Drive in Lortin, when he struck Jamar Caper, 35, of Alexandria, who was trying to cross Lorton Road around 10:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20, county police said.
Caper was hospitalized where he was pronounced dead.

87 Fentanyl Pills Seized, 18-Year-Old Arrested In Routine Fairfax County Traffic Stop: Cops
An 18-year-old driver was arrested during a routine motor vehicle stop in which Fairfax County police found just under 100 fentanyl pills, wads of cash, and marijuana, police said.
An officer stopped Fredy Ralda Rojas, of Bailey's Crossroads, at 9 p.m. on Saturday June 1 at Glen Carlyn Drive and Glen Carlyn Road, county police tell Daily Voice.
The officer saw large amounts of cash and narcotics.
Turns out, Rojas had 87 fentanyl pills, more than 2.5 ounces of marijuana, and a large amount of cash, police said.
