Manassas Mall Shootout: 3 Gunmen Arrested, Police Say (Update)
Three people have been arrested in a shooting that broke out in the Manassas Mall food court on Tuesday, July 9, police said.
Daevon Russell and Joshuah Minas Hernandez, both of Manassas, along with a 23-year-old man who remains hospitalized, are facing charges in the incident that also left a 51-year-old bystander wounded at the Sudley Road mall, county police announced.
Skyler Agley, 23, remains hospitalized but is in police custody. He is also facing charges, police said.

A mother and her children's caregiver are both facing child abuse charges in Prince William County after a boy suffered "serious burns" from unchecked bathwater, police say.
Ninoska Marisol Torres Moradel, 23, and Marvin De Jesus Alvarado Lozano, 46, both of Manassas, have been arrested and charged following a months-long investigation into the boy's injuries.
According to investigators, Torres Moradel left her 2-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl unattended in their residents on Fairmont Avenue in Manassas in late January.

Assault By Mob: Third Suspect Arrested For Violent Attack At Virginia Home, Police Say
A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent assault at a Prince William County home in February, authorities said.
Eric Yovany Melara, 33, of Manassas, had been wanted in connection with the Feb. 12 assault in Haymarket, Prince William County police said. He was arrested on Wednesday, June 5, and charged with assault by mob, aggravated malicious wounding, and abduction.

15-Year-Old Will Face Charges For Bringing Folding Knife To School In Northern VA, Police Say
A 15-year-old Manassas boy will be facing weapons offenses for bringing a folding knife to school, police said.
The boy was charged on May 22 after a school resource officer at Unity Reid High School found him with the weapon on May 1 around 11:10 a.m., while investigating a separate incident, county police said.
The SRO determined the knife was not part of any threat to other students, faculty, or staff, police said.
