Trapped Driver Cut From SUV After Vehicles Plunge Into Woods Off Maryland Bypass (Photos) A driver had to be rescued from a wrecked SUV after a crash sent two vehicles careening down an embankment and into the woods in Maryland on Friday morning. The crash was reported shortly before 9 a.m. on June 12 at the intersection of the Bel Air Bypass (US-1) and Water Tower Way, according to Harford County Fire & EMS and the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Leesburg Pike Reopens Following Fatal Crash In Fairfax County Intersection A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver near a busy intersection in Fairfax County on Saturday morning, police say. Officers were called before 5 a.m. on July 20 to the area of Leesburg Pike and Downey Drive in Great Falls, where a woman was hit by a car, which remained at the scene.  The woman was evaluated and treated at the scene before first responders pronounced her dead. Following the crash, Leesburg Pike was shut down for hours in the area while detectives investigated. All lanes reopened at around 9 a.m, on Saturday. The incident remains under investigation. W…
