Emergency Crews Rescue Person Pinned Under Excavator In Virginia A person was hospitalized Monday morning after being trapped under a piece of heavy machinery in Arlington. First responders from the Arlington County Fire Department were called shortly before noon to the 3500 block of Potomac Street for reports of a person pinned beneath a toppled mini excavator. Upon arrival, fire crews found the man trapped under the equipment. He was extricated and transported to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Bomb Squad Evacuates Pentagon City Mall Over Suspicious Vehicle An Arlington mall was evacuated and a vehicle owner issued a banning notice after a weekend incident. The bomb squad was called to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City mall around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, over a parked, unoccupied suspicious vehicle, the sheriff's office said. As a precaution during the preliminary investigation, mall security personnel evacuated the Fashion Centre.
