Second Suspect Charged In Virginia Murder-For-Hire Conspiracy: Police
The second man wanted in connection to a murder-for-hire conspiracy that left 23-year-old Egypt Zapporah Carter dead in February has been apprehended. Woodbridge resident Denzel Scott Wade, 23, is in custody days after 27-year-old Drew Courtney Buchanan was arrested and charged for the murder of the North Carolina native. Investigators say they believe Buchanan pulled the trigger, but Wade was present at the time. A 26-year-old man with gang ties is wanted in Virginia after terrorizing his girlfriend and assaulting her friend during a harrowing incident that played out in Spotsylvania on Tuesday night. Philip Alonzo Johnson skyrocketed up the sheriff's office "most wanted" list after attacking two women during a domestic dispute late on Sept. 3, officials say. DC Man Arrested In Deadly Fairfax County Gas Station Shooting
A 44-year-old Washington DC man has been arrested in connection with a deadly Fairfax County shooting, authorities said. Doniel Drake is accused of gunning down Arthur Edward Mann II, 38, at the Citgo station on Richmond Highway just after 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, county police said. Mann and Drake had been arguing at the gas pump prior to the shooting, police said. Drake was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He was held without bond, police said.
