Pedestrian Dies At Hospital Weeks After Being Struck By Car In Virginia, Police Say A 57-year-old man died at the hospital weeks after being admitted with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a car in Fairfax County, police say. At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Glen Simmons was walking near the intersection of Patrick Henry Drive and Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners when he was struck by the driver of a Kia Forte. Investigators say that Simmons was in the southbound lanes, not in a crosswalk, when he was hit by the Kia traveling south on Patrick Henry Drive.
