White House Warns Of Road Closures Ahead Of State Of The Union Address In DC
Traffic will be tied up in parts of DC on Thursday night as President Joe Biden provides his third "State Of The Union Address," officials are cautioning.
US Capitol Police issued an alert advising that these roads will be closed throughout the day on March 7:
At 6:30 a.m. the following roads will be closed to the public:
Pennsylvania Avenue between First Street, NW, and 3rd Street, NW
Maryland Avenue between First Street, NW, and 3rd Street, SW
First Street between Constitution Avenue, SW, and Independence Avenue, SW

A third person has been arrested in connection to the Mother's Day shooting that killed 10-year-old Arianna Davis in DC last year.
Charles Edward Owens, 24, has been arrested and charged with murder, joining 19-year-olds Dallas McKinney and Koran Gregory, who were previously arrested.
At the time he was charged, Owens was already in custody in a DC jail, according to police.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2023, investigators said that Davis was hit by a stray bullet in the 3700 block of Hayes Street NE, after dozens of shots rang out in the area.

A pair of climate activists are facing federal charges after vandalizing the US Constitution, which was housed at the National Archives in Washington, DC, authorities announced.
Donald Zepeda, 35, of Maryland, and Jackson Green, 27, of Utah have been indicted after causing more than $50,000 of damage within the rotunda during a demonstration last month.
Specifically, Zepeda and Green are charged with felony destruction of government property for dumping a fine red powder over the document’s display case in the Rotunda of the Archives building.
