One person was killed and two others suffered critical injuries in a wrong-way crash that shut down I-95 for several hours in Stafford County, state police say. Troopers were called shortly after 4 a.m. on Nov. 16 to investigate a two-vehicle crash that was reported in the southbound lanes of I-95 near the 146 mile marker. Police say that a Volvo SUV was heading north on the interstate when it struck a Chevrolet sedan head-on. : AirTag Leads Police To Thief In Stafford, Sheriff Says
A tractor trailer driver who had an AirTag on one of his vehicle's stolen mirrors helped lead police right to the culprit, authorities in Stafford County say. Carlos Flores Hernandez, 27, was charged with grand larceny and tampering with a vehicle after police found him with 206 stolen truck mirrors, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. An 89-year-old man has died after a two-car crash in Virginia over the weekend, police in Fairfax County announced on Monday afternoon. Fairfax County resident Lloyd South died from injuries sustained in a crash on Saturday, Sept. 23 on Ox Road in West Springfield, according to officials. Police say that South was driving east from Ox Road in a Nissan Frontier at around 9:40 a.m. on Saturday morning when he blew through a stop sign and was struck by another driver.
