Overturned Tractor-Trailer Leads To Lane Closures In Fairfax County (Developing) An overturned tractor-trailer tied up traffic in parts of Fairfax County on Tuesday afternoon when debris was spilled into the roadway. An alert was issued by police at around 12:30 p.m. on July 30 advising that the southbound lanes of Nutley Street between Route 29 and Saintsbury Street in Fairlee were closed as crews cleared up the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving the truck. Traffic JAM: Fiery Tractor Trailer Crash Shuts I-95 In Stafford Several miles of delays were reported along I-95 in Stafford on Friday, Nov. 10 due to a fiery tractor trailer crash. According to Virginia State Police, the tractor trailer was heading north when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail attenuator around 3:40 a.m., near milepost 137.8. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to catch fire. There were no reported injuries, however, all northbound travel lanes except for the left lane were closed as of 6:30 a.m.

Tractor Trailer Crashes On I-81 In Shenandoah County A tractor trailer crashed on I-81 Monday, Oct. 16 in Shenandoah County. It happened on the northbound side at mile post 273.6 around 9:25 a.m., just past the Rt. 292 intersection, the VDOT website says. The north right lane and right shoulder were closed. IDs Of 2 Dead In Crash With Trailer Hauling 78,000 Pounds Of Beer On I-95 Released Police have identified two drivers killed in a crash with a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 in northern Virginia this week. A 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer hauling 78,000 pounds of beer was trying to change lanes on the northbound side of the highway in Stafford County, when it collided with a 2014 Nissan Altima around 4:40 a.m. near mile maker 136, Virginia State Police said. The driver of the Altima, Johnathon L. Booth, 50, of Fredericksburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, as was Kevin M. Paddeu, 67, of Quinton, who was driving a Subaru Forrester that was struck by the Altima…

Tipped Tractor-Trailer Traps Driver, Stops Henrico Traffic: Developing A jackknifed and partially tipped tractor-trailer stopped traffic on I-295 in Henrico on Tuesday, July 26.The incident occurred on the ramp to I-64 at around 3 p.m., stopping all southbound traffic, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The driver of the tractor-trailer was trapped inside the vehicle but, was eventually able to get out, developing and unconfirmed reports said.  The incident also caused major damage to the ramp's walls, according to initial reports.
