I-95 Express Lanes Opening This Week To Cut Commutes For Virginia Motorists A fresh set of express lanes are making their Interstate 95 debut this week in northern Virginia. The 10-mile stretch of the new express lanes along Interstate 95 in Stafford will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 18. The lanes are the first phase of a two-phase project. The lanes start just past Route 610 in Stafford County, and extend to near Route 17, bringing a faster travel option to motorists. The second phase includes new on and off ramps in busy areas, adding more local access along the highway for nearly 50 miles from near Fredericksburg to Washington DC.  Phase 2 is …

Here's How $161M GW Parkway Project Will Impact Traffic In DC Area A $161 million construction project along the George Washington Parkway is under way, which means delays are to be expected in the DC area. The National Park Service announced a new traffic pattern that went into effect Saturday, April 22. It will last until 2025, when the project is expected to conclude.
