A District man will spend years in prison for the sexual abuse of three deaf victims, including a child and minor over the course of nearly a decade, federal authorities announced.
John’Ta Price, 29, was sentenced to 40 months in prison after pleading guilty earlier this summer to multiple charges, including attempted stalking, blackmail, and child sexual abuse.
According to prosecutors, between March 2015 and February 2020, Price stalked his first victim, who was approximately 13 to 18 years old at the time.

A Virginia man who pleaded guilty in connection to traveling to Pennsylvania to have sex with a child has been sentenced, the Lancaster County District Attorney's office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Tanner Iskra, 38 of the 2100 block of Harpoon Drive, Stafford, VA, pleaded guilty in Sept. 2023 to attempted statutory sexual assault (11 years older), attempted corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility, DA Heather Adams detailed in the release.

A former youth pastor in Virginia pled guilty to distributing child pornography, while he was on probation for a different sex offense, officials reported.
Deric Peacock, 39, of Highland Springs, used a messaging platform called "Wickr", to distribute the child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
He committed this crime while on probation for two previous convictions. Peacock allegedly solicited sex acts on the computer, from someone who was believed to be under 15 years old, authorities said.

A contractor in Northern Virginia pled guilty to contractor fraud after he took money from customers and never built their decks and patios, multiple reports said.
Ryan Vanover, 40, delayed work for customers in Stafford, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Fauquier counties, as he claimed his father was sick, InsideNova.com reported.
