Police ID Teen Gunned Down Leaving Northwest DC High School New details have been released by the Metropolitan Police Department after a 16-year-old was shot and killed leaving his high school on Tuesday afternoon in DC. Maurice Jackson, of Northeast DC, was walking at around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, when he began talking with another group of teens, police say. During that altercation near the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and P Street, NW, someone in the group pulled out a gun, fired multiple shots that struck Jackson.
