Motorcyclist, 18, Killed In Spotsylvania Mother's Day Crash An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Spotsylvania crash over the weekend, police said. Slade G. Miller was heading south on Tidewater Trail on a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, when he struck a northbound Dodge Charger that had exited Briarwood lane around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said. Miller, of Spotsylvania, died at the scene of the crash. Kono Yang, of Burke, was heading west on Lee Highway at a high rate of speed on a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle when he lost control maneuvering a curve around 2:45 p.m., VSP Sgt. Brent Coffey said. Motorcyclist, 27, Killed In Fairfax County Crash Just Started New Job As Engineer A 27-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on Rt. 28 Friday night, Nov. 17, police said. Zafeer Piracha, of Lorton was heading north on the roadway on a Kawasaki when he was struck by a 2016 Acura TLX, also heading north, at Westfields Boulevard in Centreville around 9 p.m., Fairfax County police said. Piracha was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. The Acura driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries considered not life-threatening. Baltimore Motorcyclist, 33, Killed In Anne Arundel Crash A Baltimore motorcyclist was killed after being ejected from his bike in a multiple vehicle collision in Anne Arundel County Thursday, May 19, authorities said. Shane Tyler Rider, 31, was heading south on Richie Highway on his Kawasaki motorcycle when he struck a northbound Toyota Camry turning left in front of him onto Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, around 4:20 p.m., according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.  Rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in the Toyota was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
