Man Admits Fatally Stabbing Neighbor In NY, Fleeing To Virginia: DA
A man accused of stabbing a resident of his neighborhood in Westchester County before fleeing to Virginia has pleaded guilty, prosecutors announced.
Mount Vernon resident Ronald Hechavarria, 36, pleaded guilty on Monday, Jan. 5, to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the killing of Michael Clay, 37, also of Mount Vernon, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The fatal stabbing happened at 204 Union Ave. in Mount Vernon on Aug. 1, 2024, when Clay was attacked and stabbed multiple times, resulting in his death.

Luis Antonio Quintanilla, 39, is sitting in a Texas jail after being arrested in Irving on Monday, Sept. 1 after local authorities were alerted that he was wanted for murder in Montgomery County, according to police.

A 29-year-old fugitive leapt off the James River Bridge after a collision, but was ultimately rescued by a vessel in the river and arrested, Virginia State Police said.
Kelly Golden Jr., 29, of Suffolk, was spotted by a police officer driving recklessly in a black sedan on the bridge and struck another vehicle — causing a four-car crash — around 8:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22 in Newport News, according to state police.

The 27-year-old man was arrested in Middlesex County, they said.
