The Lexington Park fugitive is back behind bars after cutting off his ankle monitor, fleeing from deputies, and winding up in handcuffs following a crash, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Manhunt Underway After Man Escapes ICE Custody In Virginia, Police Say
A convicted man is on the run after escaping from federal custody in Virginia, authorities said. An alert was issued after Kelvin Josue Reyes Bonilla, 22, of El Salvador, slipped away from ICE officers on the evening of Monday, Oct. 27, near the Walmart in Bedford, according to the Bedford Police Department. Bonilla, who was convicted of misdemeanor assault and battery in Campbell County, was last seen wearing a red shirt, camouflage gym shorts, and black socks with inmate slides, police said. The search for an escaped Washington DC murder suspect remains active a day after Danelo Cavalcante's capture. Christopher Haynes, a Manassas, VA native charged in the Aug. 12 murder of Brent Hayward, escaped from the George Washington University Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
